I really love using herbs for natural healing. However, I don’t always have the time or knowledge to make every remedy that I need. So I rely on some over-the-counter products to keep my family healthy. One product that we know and love is UMCKA Cold Care.

This product relieves symptoms and helps shorten the duration of the common cold. (There is also a cold and flu version that we have not yet tried.) There is a Umcka cold care for children and for adults. However, dosed properly, either can be used for those over the age of 2.

I highly recommend this product. It’s safe and effective.
The second product that I really like is Oscillicoccinum. Yep, don’t ask me to pronounce all of those vowels, but we love it! It is a Homeopathic remedy that is safe for the whole family. You should start taking it the minute you start experiencing flu-like symptoms and continue every six hours.
My recent experience with it was great. I didn’t actually start taking it right away as the box suggests, because I was throwing up constantly. No point, when you can’t keep anything down. But when the vomiting subsided, I began taking this and it allowed me to rest comfortably without the aches and pains and hot flashes until the flu was over.
My husband, on the other hand, starting taking it as soon as the symptoms started. He was still uncomfortable for the first 6 hours, but the following hours he slept relatively comfortably while the bug ran its course.
I am not a physician and I am not receiving any compensations for my review. This is my personal opinion and recommendations only. I hope they help if you or your family need them.
The best medicine: wash your hands, wash your hands, wash your hands! That hasn’t worked for us this winter!

Glad your feeling better. Let’s make this your last sickness for this year and maybe forever. Sounds good doesn’t it. Welcome back. Jerry
Garlic.
Ah yes, your solution for everything!
I’m glad to hear things are a bit better for you. And it’s interesting that you’d flag these for us. NOT that I want to need them, in any shape or form–my fear is that I will!
Ughhhh…I do NOT like the flu one iota.
*laughing* Come to think of it, don’t know anyone who does?
