    I really like these shots – the “cluttered” look of the branches gives the whole thing a wild, hidden sort of feel. I think thats how an eagle should be!

    Just looking at the nests these guys build is impressive. Then, when you see the actual bird, it’s stunning.

  5. Oh what a treat this would be for me. The nest is amazing. I love the idea of two parents raising the chicks. I know they aren’t always 100% successful, but not many birds will mess with an eagle. Great post for this week’s Nature Notes..thank you…Michelle

    Very apt reference to a passage that reminds us of the resilience of the species. Our local eagles in Pembroke Pines hatched out its first eaglet around January 1st. There were two but only one survived. It is now getting ready to fledge.
