January Thaw

We had our January thaw here in Ohio and enjoyed 60+ degree weather this past weekend. We drug out the bikes and other outdoor toys and played. It was refreshing! We are already back to winter weather, but while I was out musing around the yard, I found this in bloom.

My husband gasped when he saw it. His nemesis, arch-enemy, blah he thought!

I thought it was lovely. I guess you have to get behind a macro lens to truly enjoy some things in nature!

You’re so right about macro magic. Recently I saw one perfect dandelion growing in a sidewalk crack. Meant to take a pic. Now covered with sleet.

Oh my gosh…….that’s just not right!
It’s January–we need more moisture and things are thawing already. *sigh*
Seriously….even the rivers are running here–which makes eagles very confused, but probably very happy!

It’s an awesome photo–but gosh….it’s January and the poor little thing is confused!
    Silly weather. ;-)
